About the instructor


Charles Colten has been training in Aikido since 1986.He currently teaches Aikido in New York, gives seminars around the U.S. and has

taught/trained in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Charles holds the rank of 4th degree black belt (Yon Dan) granted from Hombu Dojo

World Aikido Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. He has a Masters degree in Educational/Organizational Leadership from Columbia University’s Teacher’s College, and served on the Board of Directors of Aikiextensions, Inc., an international organization dedicated to

applying Aikido principles in business, law, mediation, health-care, arts, education, and international development.
