Brooklyn College Teen Summit 2010
Student Leaders from the Bushwick School for Social Justice will be facilitating two workshops in Aikido as Conflict Resolution as part of the Brooklyn College Teen Summit. They will be sharing approaches and exercises, derived from the peaceful martial art of Aikido, which they found particularly useful for conflict resolution and mediation. This project is a collaboration between the New York Department of Education, the Student Leaders at the Bushwick School of Social Justice, the NYU Law School Mediation Clinic, and Aikido in the Schools.

Bronx Charter School for Excellence
Students from the Bronx Charter School for Excellence Aikido Club will do an Aikido demonstration for the Administrators, Faculty, and student body at their school. This demonstration represents the culmination of their semester-long course in Aikido.

Bronx Charter School for Excellence
Students from the Bronx Charter School for Excellence Aikido Club will take formal Aikido examinations in the presence of the school Administration and their parents. This is their first Aikido examination and is a major rite of passage, as it marks their formal introduction to the international Aikido community.
